About Bartek Cass Hair

Born in Poland, raised in London, and crafted in Soho. My story with hair began long before I ever picked up a pair of scissors. Hairdressing runs through my family: my mother, father, and aunt were all hairdressers, and I grew up surrounded by the rhythm, artistry, and creativity of the salon. What started as childhood curiosity grew into a lifelong passion, one that continues to evolve every single day.

In 2008, I decided to take my passion seriously and enrolled in Alan D Education, where I achieved my NVQ Level III in Ladies Hairdressing. That qualification gave me a strong foundation, but my journey truly accelerated when I had the privilege of working under Stefaan Gillian, a Vidal Sassoon global educator. He helped me refine my precision cutting, creativity, and discipline, skills I continue to carry into every appointment.

Since then, I have immersed myself in every part of the craft. I’ve worked backstage at Fashion Week, styling for major runway shows that demand speed, vision, and professionalism. I’ve collaborated on brand campaigns for Adidas, JD Sports, and Wolford, where I translated creative briefs into impactful, camera-ready hair. My editorial work has also been featured in publications such as Vogue, Hair Journal, and Creative Head Magazine. These experiences taught me to adapt, innovate, and deliver hair that not only looks beautiful but also tells a story.

Recognition in the industry has been both humbling and inspiring. One of my proudest moments was presenting my own collection for the British Hair Awards a chance to showcase my vision and creativity on a national stage. That work, along with others, led to nominations and accolades such as:

In 2023, I was proud to be named a finalist for the Fellowship for British Hairdressing’s F.A.M.E. Team, one of the most prestigious mentoring opportunities in the UK. Experiences like these remind me that hairdressing is not just a job it’s a craft, a community, and a lifelong journey.

Today, I am based at Smiths Hair Soho, where I combine years of experience in fashion, editorial, and salon work to offer a highly personalised service to every client.
